For a large part of my early adulthood, I wanted to be the First Lady of the United States. If those around me at the time could tell it, they’d say I humbly studied your every move.
Happiest of birthdays to a woman of class, grace, and grit. One of my greatest honors of being an American is having had you serve as First Lady of the United States. You made us proud. Black girl magic itself.
Thank you for your years of service and being a true model to all. Cheers to Chapter 60! 🎉
Use this day to add to the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s call of action, service, and unity.
The MLK holiday should be a day on, not a day off. How can you serve today?
✨️ Dr. King was a Baptist Minister: volunteer your time or attend a church service. Go worship and thank God for His love, grace, and mercy.
✨️ Dr. King was a bold activist and advocate: educate others on issues that help further the fight for civil rights, social justice, racism and equality.
✨️ Dr. King was a generous philanthropist: donate to a charity or organization that helps champion civil rights, social justice, racism and equality.
That’s how you can truly honor his legacy and leadership.
Thank you, Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. May your legacy and dream continue to bless and inspire us all. 👑🖤💐
Don’t judge each day by the harvest you reap, but by the seeds you plant.

It is one of my greatest privileges to be able to honor different women who truly deserve honoring. Not famous by society’s standards but worthy of recognition in their own right.
I am excited to be bringing back the “Featured Phenomenal Woman”. Empowering and exhorting each other is our responsibility.
“You’re ‘serial killer’ organized.” Blurted out my baby brother Quincy as he walked through my cute and quaint New York-style studio apartment.
Those are the sentiments I have heard from family and friends over the years. Little did most people know, I couldn’t help myself.

A typical treatment plan will often include both psychotherapy and medications, and combined treatment is usually optimal.
Back in 2016 when I was diagnosed, I was afraid, truly I was. With the help of my psychiatrist, medications, and therapy, I am less triggered and am able to live freely and live a manageable life with my condition. I’m here to tell you that you can as well. You just have to want it.
I wish you so much love on your journey. 🩷 You’ve got this!
A disorder associated with episodes of mood swings ranging from depressive lows to manic highs.
“I’m not weird, just limited edition.” I told myself after being diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder in 2016. Although I seemed confident in this moment, I wasn’t. I had mastered the art of faking it.
In reality, this was actually a plea of distress to the world: “Please be gentle with me, I’m not at my best and not fully here. I never will be.”
Fast forward to present day 2024. I am now able to live a full, stable, and rewarding life.
My treatment plan:
✨️ Medication: 100 mg of Zoloft (Sertraline) antidepressant and mood stabilizer
✨️ Medication: 50 mg of Seroquel (Quetiapine) antipsychotic and sleeping aid
I’ve partnered with HELPGUIDE.ORG and Verywell Health to assist with recommendations on coping with Bipolar Disorder. We recommend working with your psychiatrist to find the best treatment plan to help manage your Bipolar Disorder.
I know you may be afraid or even in denial. I’m here to assure you that there is hope and that hope will indeed lead you to the light. You just have to walk towards it.
