Letter from the Founder

The Sonique Louise Foundation (EST. 2014) is more than a non-profit organization. It’s a reflection of who I am and what I believe.

Rooted in activism, advocacy and philanthropy, we exist to turn compassion into action and purpose into impact.

I’ve always believed that you don’t just talk about change. You get in the room. You speak up. You show up. You give. You fight for people, especially when they’re not in the room to fight for themselves.

This foundation is my heart in motion. It’s where my passion for social change meets my commitment to action, advocacy and service.

From mental health and women’s rights to domestic violence and philanthropy, we’re committed to showing up for the causes that matter and creating impact where it’s needed most.

We’re here to advocate boldly, serve intentionally and give generously.

And that’s the bottom line. 🩷

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital ❤️

Giving is our responsibility. These are the words I live by and the principles I thrive on.

In early December, I’ll be joining my best friend and his family in Memphis, Tennessee, celebrating the 10th year of Team David at the St. Jude Memphis Marathon® Weekend!

Who’s David?

Trust me, I have the inside scoop on this angel. I’ve been told that David was an incredibly intelligent teenager and wise beyond his years. I’ve been told that David loved video games, and his energy was truly infectious. I’ve also been told that David hated running, hahaha, but loved to cheer on his family of devoted runners!

St. Jude afforded David and his family the opportunity to give cancer hell every step of the way! From never receiving a bill for treatment, travel, housing, or food to advancing research and treatment for childhood cancer. St. Jude has long emerged as a force in ending childhood cancer, and their efforts should inspire us all to join them.

Let your compassion and generosity propel you to lean in to help drive change! We must always walk with the knowledge that we are stronger together than we will ever be apart.

David, this is for you. 🤍

Easter 2024. ♥️

He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: ‘The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.’ -Luke 24:6‭-‬7 NIV

Gracious and merciful Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior,

Help us never to take for granted this huge gift of love, from you, on our behalf. Your death. Your crucifixion. Help us to be reminded of the cost of it all. The beauty in it all. The love in it all. Forgive us for being too busy or distracted by other things and not fully recognizing what you have freely given and have done for us.

Thank you Lord, that by your wounds, we are healed. Thank you that because of your loving sacrifice, we can live freely. Thank you that sin and death have been conquered and that your power is everlasting.

Lord Jesus, we don’t deserve you. Never have, never will. It is truly a blessing, a privilege, and an honor to have been saved by you. Thank you.

Bless your name, Lord.
