Humble yourselves. πŸ’Œ

Gracious and merciful Father,

In this moment of obedience, I pray for your people, Lord God. Teach your people that humble service is the path to the kingdom of greatness and eternal life.

I pray that our eyes continue to be fixated on your will and your will only, Father. I pray that our meekness and humility are displayed through our daily lives honoring and glorifying you and you only, Lord God.

Continue to humble your people, Father. Continue to teach us that we are nothing without you and you alone are God. O, sovereign and loving God, we belong to you.

Your truth runs counter to our self-exalting world. You must always be greater, and we must always become lessβ€”only then does the glorious reality shine forth that Christ is highly exalted above every name in heaven and on earth.

Forgive us, Lord God, when we stumble or fall short.

At the sound of your name, Jesus, every knee shall bow humbly before you.

Bless your name, Lord.

In Jesus’s holy, righteous, and sovereign name, Amen.

Letting go. πŸ’« Moving on.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5‭-‬6 NIV

Move on. Not because it is expected of you but when you are ready. There is no timestamp on healing, no timestamp on grief, and no timestamp on recovery. It isn’t linear.

For over three years, I’ve mourned the complicated loss not only of my significant other but also for the life and future we had planned.

There comes a moment when you must let go and move on for your peace. For your mental stability. For yourself.

There comes a moment when the loss is no longer your identity but embedded in your history.

There comes a moment when the fire that once burned you becomes the very flame that ignites you.

And finally, there comes a moment when your heart looks back with gratitude but looks forward with hope.

And that hope is the very thing that saves you.

There’s light ahead, I promise. Just keep living.

Acts 20:24 NIV

However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given meβ€”the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.

Acts 20:24 NIV

Activist. Advocate. Philanthropist.

My only hope is that my pain is sent out into this world and not returned as void. That my pain serves its purpose and that my story can serve as hope to someone else on their healing journey. Hope. Hope can help save and heal us all.
