🤍

Father of mercy and compassion,

For we know suicidal ideation and suicidal thoughts are REAL. So many of your people are hurting Father. Lost, burdened, weary and weak.

I come before you humbly to pray for your people. Wrap your presence around those who are hurting right now. Where there is darkness, breathe in even the smallest glimmer of hope. Where there is overwhelming sorrow, send comfort that reminds them they are not forgotten, not alone, and never without worth. Protect minds from hopeless thoughts and surround them with people, moments, and reminders that life still holds purpose, their presence still holds value.

Help those of us close to the broken to be vessels of compassion; steady, kind, and present so no one feels they must carry their pain in isolation. And for our own hearts, Lord, grant peace. Strengthen us so we can support others without losing ourselves. Renew our faith that healing is possible, that light returns, and that love is stronger than despair. May your grace and love continue to extend further than any devastation.

In Jesus’ Holy, Righteous and Sovereign name, Amen. 🤍

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭55:22‬

It’s easy to get distracted by life and the problems that it brings. In an effort to provide some relief, we often, as humans, want a quick fix. But seldom are those quick fixes in life fixes at all. As believers, we must understand that even God’s miracles and resolutions can take time and require patience.

Your burdens, trials, tribulations, and storms may be the result of unforeseen circumstances and external sources that were completely out of your control. On the contrary, they may be a result of our own mistakes and free will decisions. Either way, we must take responsibility and accountability for what we can and know that God will be there every step. God is well aware that there are things that are out of our control and realizes that there is evil in this fallen world. He also realizes that evil may come at our expense, but there is no need to make excuses or worry.

It’s imperative to look at your life and situation from a realistic perspective and begin seeing the circumstances through eyes filled with truth. If you continue to make excuses and distort reality, there will be no progression. As believers, God is asking us to bring our burdens to him and accept responsibility, repent, and begin moving forward with our newfound freedom. Bringing your burdens to God and owning your role in them allows God to make transformative changes in your life and situation.

God’s love for his children will never change. There is nothing we can do that can make God love us any less than he does. We were created by God, and we remain His for better and for worse. Please remember that God’s mercy and grace are sufficient and will be all we will ever need in every moment.

The glory that awaits…

Heavenly Father,

My pain sometimes feels overwhelming, but I know that you see, understand, and offer comfort to me in those heartbreaking moments. Help me keep my eyes on your eternal promise, knowing that today’s trials can’t compare to the glory that awaits. May I never lose sight of your will and purpose for my life. I lean on your strength, trust in your love, and stand firm on your word.

In Jesus’ sovereign, righteous and holy name. Amen. 🩷

When You’re Overwhelmed

Do not be blindsided by the overwhelming trials and circumstances in your life. Those obstacles may appear to be insurmountable, but please always know nothing is too difficult for God. The magnitude of your troubles may be too much to bear for you, but God’s promises will always triumph over your trials. You may not know which way to go or what direction to take, I am here to tell you that God will lead you down the right path. Peace and hope are always found in God’s presence.

When you are fearful of the unknown and overwhelmed by what lies ahead of you, know that God is the author of your story and there is a provision in that story for you to have eternal victory. God is aware of everything you need. As you continue to walk through these difficult circumstances, focus not on what you see but fix your eyes only on God. Rest assured that God will take you through every challenge and enable you to walk to victory. It may not be the way you wanted to take or the road that you wanted to travel down but have confidence in God’s perfect plan for your life. As you are walking and you find yourself becoming weary, rest in under the shadow of God’s unfailing word.

God will comfort and give you peace, so please don’t be anxious for anything. God will never allow you to endure more than his grace can overcome. If your life seems out of control, please do not fear. Do not be anxious. Do not be overwhelmed. Allow yourself only to be overwhelmed with God’s presence, power, and peace. Then, just then, will you take the necessary step toward overcoming.

Humble yourselves. 💌

Gracious and merciful Father,

In this moment of obedience, I pray for your people, Lord God. Teach your people that humble service is the path to the kingdom of greatness and eternal life.

I pray that our eyes continue to be fixated on your will and your will only, Father. I pray that our meekness and humility are displayed through our daily lives honoring and glorifying you and you only, Lord God.

Continue to humble your people, Father. Continue to teach us that we are nothing without you and you alone are God. O, sovereign and loving God, we belong to you.

Your truth runs counter to our self-exalting world. You must always be greater, and we must always become less—only then does the glorious reality shine forth that Christ is highly exalted above every name in heaven and on earth.

Forgive us, Lord God, when we stumble or fall short.

At the sound of your name, Jesus, every knee shall bow humbly before you.

Bless your name, Lord.

In Jesus’s holy, righteous, and sovereign name, Amen.

However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.
