Survivor’s Remorse 🤍

Summer 2020 vs. Summer 2024

When DeAndree was murdered in July of 2020, I felt immense and persistent survivor’s remorse. I felt helpless and powerless. Although we were separated at the time of his death, I felt I wasn’t whole without him.

While he was resting peacefully and still is, I had to continue living when I didn’t want to. When it ached the worst. When the pain was the most unbearable and unimaginable.

I am here to assure you that God is a comforter. I thank God for His mercy, love, strength, and support.

For my fellow grief warriors, I hear you. I see you. I am you.

“I was blinded by survivor’s remorse,
I was supposed to build.

…Still solid, still here.”

-Roddy Ricch

I. Said. What. I. Said.

A convicted felon should NOT be able to run for President of the United States.

A sitting “President” who was impeached TWICE should not be eligible to run for President of the United States.

A person who lost an election fair and square, who incited displaced anger, which led to a violent insurrection, SHOULD NOT BE ABLE TO RUN FOR PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES!

I said what I said.

Quote me correctly.

Councilwoman Gabriela Santiago-Romero 👑🇺🇲🩷

Councilwoman Gabriela Santiago-Romero, it was one of the highlights of my night meeting you! 🤍

As you could tell, I was so excited! No, seriously!!

Why the excitement? Because you are a true public servant. Simply put. From your Immigration Task Force to your Coffee, Council, & Conversation, to supporting the LGBTQIA+ community to demanding a ceasefire in Gaza.

It is apparent that you were created to serve people as a legislator. To bridge the gaps between government and community.

Trust, transparency, and service are the principles you campaigned and ran on. And ma’am, have you delivered on those promises!

This #WCW goes to you! You are small but mighty! I mean that as a term of endearment.

Thank you so much for your advocacy, leadership, and service to the city of Detroit.

Fight on!

🤍

Cheers to freedom. 🌸

✨️ When I look back at my life, I am so thankful that God brought me out of many situations that would have only resulted in my destruction had I stayed there. I was too afraid to take action, so God acted on my behalf. God protected me from myself and others. Protection I was too blind to even see I needed. 🌸

✨️ In moments of having to leave behind people, possessions, and relationships we hold close and dear to us, may seem like the most challenging thing to do. But in reality, those heartbreaking moments make room for our healing. 🌸
