Chapter 32. 🎀

🎀 February 12th 1991 🎀

Chapter 32. 🎀 To my life source, my Queen, my Mommy, my Best Friend. Thank you for always summoning your strength to support me through my most chaotic, fragile, and devastating moments. I have survived these 32 years because of your love, guidance, correction, kindness, compassion, and encouragement. I am nothing without you. I love you more than anything. Thank you for giving me life not once but many times over. ♥️

Safe and Single

How protective I now am over my peace, mental stability, happiness, love, trust, loyalty, devotion, privacy, body, spirit and soul. 🎀 Safe and single and I DON’T want to mingle. ✌🏽

Viola Davis. 👑

Viola Davis has earned the rare and coveted EGOT status — becoming the third Black woman in history to achieve the honor.

On Sunday, Davis, 57, won her first Grammy for her performance of the audiobook for her memoir, “Finding Me.”

“EGOT” is the grand slam of an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar and a Tony over a career. Only 18 people have achieved the status. Davis is the fourth Black person, alongside Whoopi Goldberg, John Legend and Jennifer Hudson.

I am better off healed than I ever was broken.

There is no timestamp on trauma, pain, devastation, and grief. There isn’t a formula that you can insert yourself into to speed up the healing process. You have to sit with those uncomfortable emotions, have those difficult conversations, and sort through those painful feelings. Be patient. Take up space. Let your journey hold your hand while you heal yourself. To heal is to touch with love that which we previously touched with fear. Confront your trauma and don’t run from it. I am better off healed than I ever was broken.
