When Youโ€™re Overwhelmed

Do not be blindsided by the overwhelming trials and circumstances in your life. Those obstacles may appear to be insurmountable, but please always know nothing is too difficult for God. The magnitude of your troubles may be too much to bear for you, but Godโ€™s promises will always triumph over your trials. You may not know which way to go or what direction to take, I am here to tell you that God will lead you down the right path. Peace and hope are always found in Godโ€™s presence.

When you are fearful of the unknown and overwhelmed by what lies ahead of you, know that God is the author of your story and there is a provision in that story for you to have eternal victory. God is aware of everything you need. As you continue to walk through these difficult circumstances, focus not on what you see but fix your eyes only on God. Rest assured that God will take you through every challenge and enable you to walk to victory. It may not be the way you wanted to take or the road that you wanted to travel down but have confidence in Godโ€™s perfect plan for your life. As you are walking and you find yourself becoming weary, rest in under the shadow of Godโ€™s unfailing word.

God will comfort and give you peace, so please donโ€™t be anxious for anything. God will never allow you to endure more than his grace can overcome. If your life seems out of control, please do not fear. Do not be anxious. Do not be overwhelmed. Allow yourself only to be overwhelmed with Godโ€™s presence, power, and peace. Then, just then, will you take the necessary step toward overcoming.

Chapter 76.

Mrs. Clinton,

Meeting you in 2016 and working on your presidential campaign was one of the greatest privileges and truest honor of my life.

Thank you for being the embodiment of โ€ญโ€ญGalatiansโ€ฌ โ€ญ6:9โ€ฌ which reads, “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”

๐Ÿ’ซ First Lady of Arkansas

๐Ÿ’ซ United States Senator (NY)
๐Ÿ’ซ United States Secretary of State.

And…

๐Ÿ’ซ Becoming the first woman to win a presidential nomination by a major U.S. political party (Democratic Party). And if Iโ€™m playing it too crazy, first female President of the United States! ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฒ winning the popular vote. 65,844,610 votes to be exact.

Thank you for being a fierce advocate for women’s rights and inspiring and igniting my passion for feminism activism. Thank you for 50+ years of service to this great nation, and because of your existence, this world is a better place.

May this chapter be filled with love, peace, relaxation, and all things joyous. You are so very deserving of that and have earned the right to reap the fruits and harvest of your hard labor and of the seeds in which you’ve planted.

Cheers to your existence, light, legacy, and impact. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Roddy Ricch. ๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ’๐ŸŽ‰

You were mostly likely introduced to Roddy Ricch in 2020 when “The Box” had its successful run on the charts. I however, was introduced to his music in 2017, when he released Baby Boy (Struggle).

Rodrick Wayne Moore Jr., thank you for sharing your talents and gifts with the world through your musical artistry. I say this with sincere conviction, your music helped save my life.

Safe to say I’m your biggest fan. It is what it is. ๐Ÿ˜‚

๐Ÿ‘‘ Lauralyn Welland Taylor ๐Ÿ‘‘

A fierce educator.

A kindred spirit.

A treasure and a blessing.

That’s what you are.

Through my pain and devastation, Iโ€™ve been able to heal through my writing. Through my expressive advocacy and through my bold activism. You pushed me beyond my limits and made me fall in love with the art of English Literature.

I don’t take your existence lightly because had it not been for you, a large part of me would not have reached its purpose and be able to walk in my divine calling.

It was a true pleasure being a student of yours, and now a privilege to call you my friend. I hope this chapter is filled with all the love, all the warmth, all the compassion, and all the encouragement you have so freely given to others.

Thank you for existing.

Cheers! ๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ’โ™ฅ๏ธ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿผ๐Ÿฅณ๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽŠ๐ŸŽ‚๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ“–โœ’๏ธ

Pink Relief Bags ๐ŸŽ€

Mesh bags filled with menstrual hygiene products to inspire schools / businesses to begin offering free menstrual products.

Not having adequate access to menstrual hygiene products is far too common in the United States and across the globe . A national average survey (BMCWomenโ€™s Health) shows that 1 in 4 students miss school because they donโ€™t have the proper necessities or access to menstrual hygiene products. Which translates to โ€œPeriod Povertyโ€. In every sense of responsibility, Period Poverty is a public health crisis.

I propose a law or ordinance regulating the distribution of menstrual hygiene products in all Detroit Public Schools to help curb the effort of Period Poverty. This will help to ensure that the students matriculating through the Detroit Public School system have access to necessary menstrual care products and to ensure that they have access to proper menstrual health education as well.

My only hope is that other cities, states, and jurisdictions join the effort! But until such law is put in place, I’ve created Pink Relief Bags! ๐Ÿฉท

Pink Relief Bags are mesh bags filled with menstrual hygiene products to fight the Period Poverty battle! Again, my hope is to inspire ALL school to begin offering free menstrual products to their students. There will also be a kicker card with a special QR Code in the bags that students will be able to scan and access online health information about their menstrual cycles.

I’ve chosen none other than my alma mater, the illustrious Lewis Cass Technical High School, as my first location!

Survivor Care Kits ๐Ÿ’œ

Kits filled with comfort items for survivors of domestic abuse / violence residing in a womenโ€™s shelter.

Growing up, I was subjected to domestic violence and watched my mother fall victim to it for many years. She, however, didn’t stay a victim. She emerged as a survivor, and so did I.

Both my mother and I are survivors of domestic abuse. Out of respect and privacy for her story and mine, I’ll withhold any further details.

I would like to introduce, in honor of my Mother Sonia, my Survivor Care Kits! ๐Ÿ’œ Survivor Care Kits are kits filled with comfort items for survivors of domestic abuse / violence residing in a womenโ€™s shelter.

I’ve chosen the Detroit Police Victimโ€™s Assistance Program as my first location. Oftentimes, women’s domestic absuse shelters are secret locations so that the victims are protected and kept safe. I’m confident that the Detroit Police Department will get these kits to where they are most needed.

Psychiatric Care Boxes ๐Ÿฆ‹

Boxes filled with care items for underprivileged psychiatric hospitals.

May 24th, 2019. A day I’ll never forget. A day I remember vividly. The day I attempted suicide.

At this point in my life, my mental capacity had completely deteriorated. My heart rate consistently ran 164 BPM, I was going through psychosis and most days, I slept in my bedroom with the curtains closed, hoping to fade away. On the outside, I seemed fine, but the inside told a very different story.

I wanted to take my life.

I would end up spending 10 days in Auburn Hills, Michigan, at Havenwyck Hospital for in-patient mental health treatment. My stay at the psychiatric hospital was very fulfilling, but as they were helping me, I was thinking about how I could return and help them.

Havenwyck, although doing their very best, was an underprivileged psychiatric hospital. Necessity items were in short supply, and the demand and need were growing increasingly.

Four years later, I’ve decided to pay it forward.

Introducing Psychiatric Care Boxes! ๐Ÿฆ‹ These are boxes filled with care items for underprivileged psychiatric hospitals such as Havenwyck. Last year, I donated to Havenwyck Hospital, so this year, I’m choosing StoneCrest Center! It’s located right here in Detroit!

I am excited to continue serving God’s people through my philanthropy efforts, and I hope you will join me!
