Girls Who Grieve

Be patient. Take up space. Let your journey hold your hand while you heal yourself. To heal is to touch with love that which we previously touched with fear. Confront your grief, don’t run from it.

Join me on Sunday, February 18th 2024, via Zoom, as we indulge in our grief journey, together.

Chapter 60!

Mariska,

Your character, Olivia Benson, has stolen hearts and withstood the test of time for 25 years (25 seasons). Whether onscreen or offscreen, your vulnerability and advocacy for sexual assault, domestic violence, and child abuse are truly unmatched and necessary. Thank you for advancing the women’s movement and the quality of life one episode at a time!

We are all beyond grateful for your service to television and through your foundation, Joyful Heart.

May this new decade of living be filled with all of the compassion, fulfillment, and love that you give to those both near and far.

I’ll never forget, in 2016, having the privilege of sitting in the same room as you.

Cheers to Chapter 60! πŸ‘‘πŸ₯³πŸ’

Chapter 60!

Former First Lady of the United States

Mrs. Obama,

For a large part of my early adulthood, I wanted to be the First Lady of the United States. If those around me at the time could tell it, they’d say I humbly studied your every move.

Happiest of birthdays to a woman of class, grace, and grit. One of my greatest honors of being an American is having had you serve as First Lady of the United States. You made us proud. Black girl magic itself.

Thank you for your years of service and being a true model to all. Cheers to Chapter 60! πŸŽ‰

Featured Phenomenal Woman πŸ‘‘

Don’t judge each day by the harvest you reap, but by the seeds you plant.

-Robert Louis Stevenson

It is one of my greatest privileges to be able to honor different women who truly deserve honoring. Not famous by society’s standards but worthy of recognition in their own right.

I am excited to be bringing back the “Featured Phenomenal Woman”. Empowering and exhorting each other is our responsibility.

Stay tuned! It could be YOU! 🩷

Living Single. Girlfriends. Insecure.

πŸ‘‘ Issa Rae as “Issa Dee”

Three black women who are pioneers in black television.

These women changed the trajectory of television in different decades. We owe them their flowers. πŸ’ Thank you.

We can change the trajectory of this world for the better, one kind act and one selfless act of service at a time.

The greatest privilege of my life is not being an “influencer.” It’s having that “influence” ignite “impact.”

Because impact saves those who need saving.
